Expanding Horizons: New International Collaboration

As part of a strategic move to diversify international engagement beyond traditional markets like the EU and the U.S., the Technopark Alliance – a consortium of 8 Technoparks across Switzerland and Liechtenstein – partnered with Succeed Consulting and Venturelab to launch a forward-looking initiative.

China – and in particular Zhejiang Province – is rapidly emerging as a global innovation powerhouse, with strengths in AI, medtech, robotics, and sustainable technologies. These areas closely align with Swiss expertise. Through direct engagement with local governments, science parks, and investors in Zhejiang, the initiative opens new pathways for Swiss startups to scale, explore joint ventures, and connect with one of the world’s fastest-growing tech ecosystems.

Importantly, the collaboration is built on a politically balanced, pragmatic foundation. Backed by Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE) and the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SCCC), it emphasizes a business-led, innovation-driven exchange that minimizes political risk while maximizing value for Swiss companies.

This initiative presents a unique opportunity for the Technopark Alliance to offer startups a high-quality, long-term platform to explore Asia and expand Switzerland’s global innovation presence.

The approach? Business-led, politically balanced, and pragmatically designed.
